▸ Who is Fernly for?
Smaller UK childcare providers — nurseries, forest schools, pre-schools and similar settings — running their own holiday clubs. If you handle bookings yourself today with a Google Form and a spreadsheet, you're exactly who Fernly is built for. We're not trying to replace full nursery management systems.
▸ How quickly can we go live?
Usually within 3–5 working days from when you send us your branding and session details.
▸ Can we use our own domain?
Yes. Add a single CNAME pointing your subdomain (e.g. holidayclub.yournursery.co.uk) to Fernly and we'll mark it verified. Standalone Fernly subdomains (yournursery.fernlyapp.com) are included free.
▸ How are parents charged?
Fernly handles bookings and invoice tracking. You collect the payment from parents in whatever way you do today — BACS, bank transfer, etc. Online card payments are on the roadmap, not in v1.
▸ How do we pay Fernly?
£300/year or £85/quarter, by Stripe. Card or direct debit. We invoice you, you set up the payment, it renews automatically.
▸ What if we have more than 250 parents?
Get in touch — we'll quote based on your size. The platform itself has no hard cap; the price is calibrated to small providers because that's our focus.
▸ Is our data secure?
Yes. HTTPS everywhere, prepared statements on every query, hashed passwords, CSRF on every form, audit log of admin actions, and tight tenant isolation so organisations can never see each other's data.
▸ What about children's data?
We store the minimum: first name, last name, optional date of birth. No medical, allergy, safeguarding or attendance data. That's deliberate — the less we hold, the smaller the GDPR surface area.
▸ Can I export everything if I leave?
Yes. CSV exports are built in and unlimited. If you cancel, you keep your data.
▸ Do you have a free trial?
We don't run an automated trial, but we're happy to set up a demo organisation for you so you can click around before you commit.
▸ Where is the data hosted?
UK data centres. We don't move children's data outside the UK.
